Helping patients find care close to home
Wesley Healthcare's Rural Network provides the highest level of quality specialty care to patients and is committed to helping patients stay close to home for their healthcare.
Long before the pandemic launched telehealth into popularity, Wesley Healthcare was using this technology to provide healthcare consultations to our rural neighbors across Kansas and a six-state region. In 2022, we completed more than 1,500 clinic days in rural communities and provided over 4,700 telehealth consultations to rural hospitals, helping patients access our award-winning health care, close to home. We also cared for over 70,000 patients from communities outside of Denver.
We have developed one of the most successful virtual tele-stroke networks as part of the Rural Network. In 2022, we helped our rural partners retain more than 70 percent of patients who received a tele-stroke consultation, providing patients access to highly specialized care quickly, without having to leave their immediate communities.
Wesley Healthcare Rural Network is a six-state program, encompassing communities in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Montana, New Mexico and Wyoming. Over 100 healthcare specialists travel via air or ground regularly, usually on a monthly or weekly basis.
