WICHITA – Wesley Medical Center’s former director of respiratory therapy, Debbie Fox, has been selected to receive the 2014 American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) Life Membership award.
“I was quite surprised and honored to be chosen,” Fox said. “Life Membership is a great honor and I feel humbled to consider joining such a fine group of respiratory therapists.”
The AARC is a professional membership association for respiratory care professionals and allied health specialists interested in cardiopulmonary care. The association’s Life Membership award is given to members who meet a number of criteria, including membership of at least 15 years while serving in an official capacity that provides extraordinary contribution to the AARC and its affiliates.
“It’s wonderful to see the AARC recognize Deb for her years of dedication and service,” said Tripp Owings, Wesley’s vice president of pediatric operations and business development. “There’s no one more deserving of this accolade than her.”
Fox retired from Wesley in July after 41 years of service in the respiratory care medical field.
