
WICHITA – Wesley Healthcare has named Jody Gragg as its physician relations director of outreach for southern Kansas.
“We are excited to welcome Jody back to our Wesley Family and to the Physician Relations and Outreach team,” said Jenny Way, Wesley Healthcare assistant vice president physician and provider relations.
In this role, Gragg will direct and oversee programs designed to foster positive relations between physicians and Wesley Healthcare. He is responsible for planning and implementing outreach efforts focusing on physicians, community groups, and other potential referral relationships in southern Kansas.
Gragg served as a paramedic for five years in Hutchinson, Kansas, before being hired as a flight paramedic with Wesley Medical Center LifeWATCH Air Ambulance Program. In 1988, he was commissioned as an ensign in the United States Naval Reserve and in 1991, was deployed with Combat Zone Fleet Hospital 22 during Desert Storm. Upon returning, he flew for LifeWATCH as a flight/nurse paramedic for the next 15 years and was promoted to chief flight nurse. In 2012, Gragg retired from the Navy as a commander with 23 years of service. Gragg then joined Wesley’s Customer Relations and Outreach department in 2000. He most recently served as Via Christi’s senior director of outreach services.

Gragg graduated from Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas, with a bachelors degree in biology and received his bachelor of nursing degree from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas. He received his qualified navy flight nurse diploma from the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine and earned his master of healthcare leadership degree at Friends University in Wichita.
