WICHITA – Enjoy some fall fun at Wesley Friends’ Autumn Garden Stroll, planned for Friday, Oct. 9, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Botanica Gardens, 701 N. Amidon.

Attendees can participate in a half-mile stroll around the gardens or just sit and relax. Festivities include live music, food, drinks, a photo booth and a scavenger hunt within the gardens. In case of inclement weather, activities will be moved indoors.

There will be no senior 5K run or formal walk for this year’s event based on past participant feedback. Wesley is instead focusing on the fun, informal and festive gathering the Autumn Garden Stroll event has come to represent.

“Our members told us they appreciated the relaxed, beautiful atmosphere of the gardens and the stroll,” said Wesley Friends manager Mark Bretches. “While senior runners are welcome to tour the entire gardens at their own pace, we know the non-competitive atmosphere will be thoroughly enjoyed by all.”

The event is open to the public, and admission is $8 payable at the door. For more information about the event or to register, please call the Wesley Friends office at 316.962.8400.
