Preoperative class for joint replacement surgery
Wesley Medical Center is committed to keeping our joint replacement patients informed, educated and supported every step of the way. We offer a preoperative class to help make you feel more comfortable with the surgical and recovery processes. You should attend the preoperative class several weeks or days before surgery.
The preoperative class covers:
- What happens during surgery
- How to prepare for surgery
- Arrival on surgery day and discharge
- What to expect as you recover
- Exercises and rehabilitation with our physical and occupational therapists
Our preoperative education class is available to attend in-person or we offer a convenient virtual option. Please view our class calendar for dates and times. Please plan to complete the class prior to your joint replacement surgery.
Coming to Wesley Medical Center for joint care
Patients coming to Wesley Medical Center for an orthopedic appointment or surgery should park in our Visitors Garage and enter through the garage hospital entrance. Patients will be directed to the admissions desk and will be given directions to the Joint Replacement Center.
