Visiting the PICU
Parents are not considered visitors in the PICU and are welcome any time. Visitors should be limited to two people at the bedside at a time. In special circumstances, additional visitors may be allowed.
We ask that visitation by other people be restricted during shift changes, between 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. This is so nurses may exchange information and reassess pediatric patients.
PICU amenities
Wesley supports a philosophy of family-centered care. Adjacent to the PICU are parent sleep rooms, showers and the Ronald McDonald Family Room. A Ronald McDonald House is also located near our campus.
PICU at Wesley Healthcare
The pediatric intensive care unit provides specialized treatment and equipment to critically ill children. Physicians and nurses in the PICU are specially trained in pediatrics, so they are able to provide children with the highest quality care.
