Although the services at our neighborhood hospital are offered in a more intimate environment than most city hospitals, we have the advanced technology, high quality amenities and expert healthcare providers of any urban medical center. 

Heart attack symptoms

People may or may not experience early signs of a heart attack. Symptoms may come and go until they become constant and/or severe. Knowing the following symptoms and taking action early could save a life.

Signs of a heart attack include:

  • Chest pain (angina)
  • Chest pressure
  • Fluttering in the chest
  • Chest heaviness
  • Tightness in the chest or throat
  • Left shoulder or arm pain
  • Left jaw pain
  • Irregular/racing heartbeat
  • Pain between the shoulder blades

Our emergency care physicians and cardiologists are readily available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to care for incoming heart attack patients. 

Arriving at our ER

Please use our emergency entrance on the southeast side of our building upon seeking care at Wesley Woodlawn. We have a pull-around area for patients to be dropped off. Patient parking is available outside the ER entrance, and parking is free.

There is a waiting area with outlets and free Wi-Fi for guests.

Heart attack at Wesley Healthcare
