Dr. Adhikari attended medical school at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Nepal. He completed his residency in pediatrics at the Albany Medical Center in New York and his fellowship in pediatric cardiology at the Advocate Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois. He brings his expertise in management of patients with congenital heart disease from inception to adulthood, as well as acquired heart diseases in children. His special interests include perinatal and fetal cardiology, congenital heart diseases in children, non-invasive imaging, 3D echocardiography, electrophysiology, arrhythmias, syncope and sudden death. He brings diverse experiences in various fields of medicine including emergency medicine, anesthesiology and critical care, oncology and general practice.Dr. Pooja Desai, MD
Dr. Desai completed her medical school in Mumbai, India. She then completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, and her pediatric cardiology fellowship at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. Her special interests are fetal echocardiography, congenital heart disease in children and adults, and acquired heart disease in children including hypertension, Kawasaki disease, syncope, chest pain, rheumatic fever, hyperlipidemia and cardiac arrhythmias.
Dr. Adhikari and Dr. Desai care for children at Wesley’s pediatric subspecialty clinic located on the fifth floor of Wesley’s Medical Arts Tower at 3243 E. Murdock.
