WICHITA –Wesley Healthcare has named Jeremy Pauly its new EmergencyCare Network market director. Pauly now will oversee all five of Wesley’s emergency rooms, including the new $10 million freestanding room Wesley Derby ER, which is expected to begin construction later this month.
“It’s a very exciting time for our EmergencyCare Network with the expansion of services to the Derby community,” said Casey Guber, Wesley Healthcare chief operating officer. “Jeremy brings more than 17 years of emergency medicine experience to his new role and will be a great resource for all five of our ER locations.”
Pauly joined Wesley in 1999 as an emergency medical technician. He received his bachelor’s degree in nursing from Wichita State University and transitioned to an emergency room staff nurse in 2000. In 2006, Wesley opened its freestanding emergency room, Wesley West ER, and Pauly was promoted to manager of this facility. Since 2010, he has been the director of nursing for Wesley’s main emergency room, Wesley Pediatric ER and Wesley West ER.
“I am very excited to be expanding my director responsibilities to the Wesley Woodlawn campus ER and our new Derby ER opening this fall,” Pauly said. “Wesley has blessed me with so many opportunities to grow and develop as a professional leader, and I feel privileged for being selected to lead the charge in our expansion of ER services.”
Wesley Healthcare currently has four emergency rooms in the Wichita area: Wesley Main ER, Wesley Pediatric ER, Wesley Woodlawn ER and Wesley West ER. Wesley Derby ER, which will be located in Derby at the corner of 63rd Street South and Rock Road, will include 11 emergency room beds, an on-site laboratory and imaging capabilities. Patients for all facilities can check-in online and access wait times by visiting www.wesleyonlineercheckin.com.
The Wesley EmergencyCare Network commits to achieving an average wait time of less than 30 minutes for adults and less than 20 minutes for children. The “average ER wait time” represents the approximate time it takes for a patient to see an ER provider (physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner) after arrival to begin treatment. Last year, Wesley cared for nearly 120,000 patients in its emergency rooms.
Jeremy and his wife, Lacy have a four-year-old son, Tyson.
