Look Good, Feel Better Workshop

Wesley Medical Center and The American Cancer Society will host a free Look Good...Feel Better® workshop on Monday, August 3, 6:30-8:30pm at Wesley Medical Center, 550 N. Hillside. The program teaches beauty techniques to female patients in active treatment to help them combat the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment. Pre-registration is required by calling Wesley Guest Services at 316.962.2100.

Family Life Education Classes

Classes are held at the following locations: Wesley BirthCare Center at the northeast corner of Hillside and Murdock streets; Wesley West Emergency and Diagnostic Center at 8714 W. 13th St.; and Koch Learning Center at Wesley Medical Center, 550 N.   • “Babysitting for Beginners”: a single one-day class for youth ages 11-15 to learn to care for children of all ages, CPR training is included

Cost: $40, includes lunch

  • “Big Kids and Babies”: one 90-minute session of activities for children ages 3-6 to help prepare them to welcome a new baby, tour included

  • “Breastfeeding”: two two-hour classes or one three-hour class to learn the advantages of breastfeeding

  • “Car Seat Safety”: one two-hour class to learn how to select a safe car seat and use it effectively

  • “Caring for Your Baby”: two two-hour classes or one three-hour class providing information about bathing, diapering, feeding, safety, child development, health and other practical information
