WICHITA –Casey Guber, Wesley Healthcare’s associate chief operating officer since January, has accepted the role of chief operating officer. Guber had assumed several operations and leadership duties following the transition of Bill Voloch from the health system’s chief operations officer role to its president and CEO.
“It’s been an amazing opportunity to be part of a first-class health system and it’s constant efforts to push the benchmark higher and higher in quality care and service,” Guber said. “I’m excited to be continuing my leadership career at Wesley Healthcare. Kansans have been so friendly and welcoming.”
Guber has led several key initiatives for Wesley, including the development of its oncology service line and its recent acquisition of the new Varian® Edge Radiosurgery system, the development of its bariatric surgery services and the acquisition of several new pieces of updated imaging equipment.
Prior to his time at Wesley, Guber held several positions at Rose Medical Center in Denver, where he worked his way from administrative intern to associate chief operations officer. He also previously worked as a consultant for Huron Consulting and Stockamp and Associates.
“Casey has demonstrated great leadership skills in helping improve patient satisfaction and employee engagement in several areas of the hospital,” Voloch said. “I look forward to seeing him continue his achievements and expand his success.”
Guber graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder Leeds School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and he received his master’s degree in hospital administration from the University of Colorado at Denver.
Guber’s community activities have included serving as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, Kisses for Kyle, Habitat for Humanity, Judy’s House, The Gathering Place, The Hope Fund, Wishes for Wheels and Boots To Suits.
