WICHITA –Wesley Healthcare has selected Allen Poston, a healthcare executive with more than 20 years’ leadership experience, its new vice president of marketing and public relations.
“We’re glad Allen is on board,” said Bill Voloch, president and CEO of Wesley Healthcare. “He has a demonstrated track record of marketing success and will be a tremendous asset to our Wesley campuses.”
Poston has had a long and distinguished career in healthcare marketing and public relations as well as physician relations, making him uniquely qualified to help communicate Wesley’s larger strategic plan in this community and around the state.
“I am thrilled to be joining the team at Wesley Healthcare and am excited about the future of the hospital system,” Poston said. “Between the opening of the new Wesley’s Children’s Hospital and the Wesley Derby ER later this year, it’s an exciting time to be at Wesley.”
Poston most recently served as regional director of physician development for Tenet Healthcare in Dallas. There, he oversaw physician employment and business development for 23 hospitals across Texas, Missouri and Tennessee. Prior to that, Poston spent 15 years with HCA’s University of Oklahoma Medical Center and The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center. As a director of public relations and physician relations, Poston was responsible for hospital communications, branding and media relations, as well as physician recruitment and practice development.
“Having grown up in the part of the country, this truly feels like home,” Poston said. “I could not be more proud to come home and be part of Wesley Healthcare.”
Poston graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and earned a master’s degree in business administration from Oklahoma City University.
