Wesley Medical Center is a Level 1 Trauma Center, accredited by the American College of Surgeons, which provides the highest level of expert care for all types of injuries adult and pediatrics. State-of-the-art technology and facilities include a 42-bed Emergency Department, including a pediatric emergency department, 26-bed Surgical Intensive Care Unit, 12-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and 28 operating rooms. Trauma patients are brought to Wesley by ground and air ambulances from across Kansas and northern Oklahoma. Highly trained and experienced trauma surgeons are in-house 24-hours, 7-days a week. Nine board-certified general surgeons, with four who are board-certified in critical care medicine:
