WICHITA – Wesley Medical Center has named Troy Gooch to serve as its new director of respiratory therapy.

“We are excited to add Troy to the Wesley family,” said Tripp Owings, Wesley’s vice president of pediatric operations and Wichita business development. “He will provide great leadership to our campuses with more than 20 years of respiratory care experience.”

Gooch previously worked for The University of Kansas Hospital where he has served as the assistant respiratory therapy department director since 2006. Troy graduated from the University of Kansas and received his master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in healthcare management from Kansas Wesleyan University.

“It’s an amazing opportunity for me to part of a first-class health delivery system at Wesley,” Gooch said.

Gooch is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Association for Respiratory Care and the current president of the Kansas Respiratory Care Society.

Troy began his new position with Wesley on July 21.
