WICHITA – Wesley Medical Center has named Steve Hammer to serve as its new director of supply chain services.

“We are excited to add Steve to the Wesley family,” said Matt Leary, Wesley’s chief financial officer. “He brings a strong process improvement focus, as well as strong project management and strategic processing skills, to this position.”

Hammer has 15 years of senior management experience. His scope of responsibilities has included procurement, process analysis and improvement, business modeling, vendor contract management, operational management and legal and regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining the healthcare industry, Hammer was an operations manager with Lowe’s Home Improvement, where he received recognition for effective team processes.

“It’s an amazing opportunity for me to part of a first-class health delivery system at Wesley,” Hammer said.

Steve began his new position with Wesley on June 16.
