Pediatric Intensivist, Dr. Manish Bajracharya has joined Wesley Medical Center’s Pediatric Services Team

Pediatric intensivist, Dr. Manish Bajracharya has joined the pediatric services team at Wesley Medical Center.

Originally from Kathmandu, Nepal, Dr. Bajracharya joined Wesley’s PICU following a pediatric critical care fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. There, he cared for children at Children’s Medical Center which has a 40-bed PICU and 20-bed cardiac unit.  He previously completed his pediatric residency at Albany Medical Center in New York.

In addition to providing care in Wesley’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, he also practices in the Pediatric Sedation Unit and teaches Pediatric Fundamentals of Critical Care Support.

“I enjoy teaching medical students, residents and nurses,” said Dr. Bajracharya.  “Teaching keeps me on my toes.”

During his fellowship, Dr. Bajracharya’s research focused on acute respiratory distress syndrome.  He is also knowledgeable on all other aspects of pediatric intensive care, including the management of trauma, HIV/AIDS and palliative care.
